There are four senior district nurses attached to the practice. They lead a nursing team which is comprised of registered general nurses, district enrolled nurses and nursing auxiliaries. This team works alongside the GPs, practice nurses, health visitors and specialist nurses as well as social services and voluntary organisations.
You can leave a message for the district nurses Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 16:00 on 01377 208759 (answer machine). If you need a district nurse at the weekend please ring the above number and leave a message.
When you first see the district nurse, a care plan will be drawn up with you to assess your needs. This care will be given by the nursing team. However, if your needs cannot be met by them they will refer you to other agencies or give you advice about where to go for help.
